Out of the Void Posters
Out of the Void Poster by Bebops

I am constantly astonished and entranced by the myriad forms of life on this planet. To quote one of my very favorite authors, Annie Dillard, in
Pilgrim at Tinker Creek, "the creator has pizzazz".

I hope to display a variety of animal images on this blog to delight us all. I have created many products featuring wildlife and pets for my Zazzle stores, Bebop's Place and Bebop's Weddings, using my original photographs and designs. I am also constantly amazed at the gorgeous animal products available from the rest of the Zazzle community. I am hoping others will enjoy this blog and even be moved to purchase some of these lovely items for gifts or just for the pleasure of having such beauty around.

This striking mousepad features a lovely orange and white koi fish swimming through a sea of grass against a pure black background.

Here is a Case-Mate iPhone 5 case featuring the caterpillar of the Black Swallowtail Butterfly (Papilio polyxenes), also known as the American Swallowtail, Parsnip Swallowtail or Parsley Worm. This species lives and dines on members of the parsley family (including carrots, dill, fennel and parsnips). What a lovely green creature, with repeating black bands spotted with gold and yellow that create an interesting abstract pattern. This one is on a leaf surrounded by intense green foliage.

From the designer: Brighten Your Day - Freckles in Flowers II is a tuxedo kitty who sits in a field of flowers on the side of a hill. Blossoms of crimson reds, pretty pink poppies, lavender heather and white dogwood surround this black and white cat, both on the ground and falling from the heavens. Freckles has mostly black fur, white paws and whiskers and little dab of white on his kitten mouth. Bright blue flowers falling from the sky give an extra sparkle to the dappled gray background. You may experience peace, serenity and healing as you look at my work. Freckles in Flowers II is part of my Fanciful Animal Images series. Freckles has been my beloved animal companion for 18 years. At the animal shelter he came right over and insisted on going home. When I went to the shelter, Freckles came right over and brushed against me – and then he walked away. He did this several times. To me, that said this tiny tux kitty was both independent and loving. And that has turned out to be so true! This image of Freckles is a delightful addition to any family with his elegance and charm on this lovely notebook.

Necklace with a photo of a hummingbird sipping nectar from some pink flowers. The rufous hummingbird is flying and is surrounded by the leaves and flowers of a red flowering currant bush blooming in spring.

This Case-Mate iPod case captures a tiny deer mouse climbing the trunk of a tree. The brown coloration very closely matches the bark so that he is camouflaged from view unless the observer is extremely close. He has white whiskers and belly fur, large black eyes and pink feet.

This Earth Day card features the stoat (Mustela erminea), also known as the ermine or short-tailed weasel, a species of Mustelid native to Eurasia and North America. His winter coat is pure white with a black tip at the tail. In summer, the fur molts to brown. He is a fierce hunter, feeding mainly on small rodents but quite capable of catching prey much larger. Here he is briefly pausing on a fallen log before continuing his hunting activities. A smaller image of a deer is inside. The text can be customized or removed.

All things bright and beautiful, peacock adorned stamps.

The brown pelican in the photo on this necklace is gliding along the water of a canal on Florida's Gulf Coast, the rippled reflections shimmering on the blue water. The photo is in shades of blues, soft grays and browns, with a touch of yellow on the pelican's head.

This bookplate features a Gray Catbird perched on a fence post.. He is a gray bird with a black cap and bright rusty feathers under the tail. Gray Catbirds are relatives of mockingbirds and thrashers, and they share that group’s vocal abilities, copying the sounds of other species and stringing them together to make their own song. Their call sounds like the meow of a cat. Terrific for identifying the books in your own collection, they will also make a wonderful gift for book lovers! Customize with your personal name.

The grasshopper is a symbol of good luck all over the world. This fine art photography mousepad features a yellow and brown grasshopper climbing up a fluffy pink, red and magenta ageratum floss flower. He is looking over his shoulder at the photographer with his huge gold and black eye. Lovely green foliage frames the photograph. Perhaps this mousemat will be a lucky charm!

This poster features a Small Milkweed Bug ( Lygaeus kalmii) on pink poppy petals with soft green grass in the background. This bug is black with orange bands on the forewings that form an “X.” The head is also black with a red spot on the top which often extends to the face. It is theorized that this bright colored pattern is to warn predators that the insect tastes bad. They feed on plants which contain toxins that the insects take into their bodies when feeding. The insects are not harmed by the toxins, but predators don’t like the taste of the insects, so after tasting a black and orange insect, they learn to leave them alone!

This tote bag features a mallard duck, very surprised to find himself surrounded by fluffy white snow from an early storm. His lovely green iridescent neck, yellow beak and intricately patterned wings really stand out against all that white!

A white Japanese-style crane surrounded by Japanese symbols of good luck: plum blossoms, pine trees, and bamboo leaves. Cranes are the symbols of happiness, love, peace, and longevity.

This humorous 2013 calendar poster features a grumpy looking American Toad (Bufo americanus). This small amphibian is brown with black, gold olive green and orange coloration. His warts distinguish him from his frog neighbors. Although hatched in the water of ponds, rivers, lakes or streams, the tadpoles soon move to land where the toads live their adult lives. His startling call is a long screech. He looks quite fierce but is actually a gentle little guy who eat lots of garden pests including insects and slugs. The text reads: Back off. This iPhone 4 Case-Mate case features a cartoon of an Emperor Penguin in three colors: a black back and wings, white front, black and white eye, and orange feet and beak. It's more of a stylized cartoon as the use of orange in the cartoon doesn't exactly match the orange patches on a real Emperor Penguin but a cute penguin design nonetheless.
